A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
1- 1 To amend an Act reincorporating the City of Blairsville in
1- 2 the County of Union, approved March 28, 1984 (Ga. L. 1984,
1- 3 p. 4967), as amended, so as to deannex certain property; to
1- 4 provide for new corporate limits; to provide an effective
1- 5 date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
1- 6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION 1.
1- 7 An Act reincorporating the City of Blairsville in the County
1- 8 of Union, approved March 28, 1984 (Ga. L. 1984, p. 4967), as
1- 9 amended, is amended by striking subsection (b) of Section
1-10 1.10 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
1-11 "(b)(1) The property herein described shall be deannexed
1-12 from the corporate limits of the City of Blairsville as
1-13 follows:
1-14 BEGINNING at the rock with 'X' in top painted red
1-15 located on the common corner of Land Lots 305, 306,
1-16 307, and 308; running thence North 04<20'50" West
1-17 1491.78 feet to an iron pin found (3/4" open top
1-18 pipe); thence North 07<29'13" West 145.09 feet to an
1-19 iron pin set (1/2" rebar); thence North 07<29'13" West
1-20 339.50 feet to an iron pin found (1/2" open top pipe);
1-21 thence North 10<07'53" West 218.67 feet to an iron pin
1-22 found (3/4" open top pipe); thence North 32<55'40"
1-23 West 44.43 feet to a point; thence North 72<48'46"
1-24 East 170.00 feet to a point; thence North 17<41'14"
