HB 1326 LC 22 1950 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT 1- 1 To amend Code Section 14-7-2 of the Official Code of Georgia 1- 2 Annotated, relating to definitions relative to professional 1- 3 corporations, so as to add pharmacists to the definition of 1- 4 profession; to allow pharmacists to form professional 1- 5 corporations; to provide an effective date; to repeal 1- 6 conflicting laws; and for other purposes. 1- 7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: SECTION 1. 1- 8 Code Section 14-7-2 of the Official Code of Georgia 1- 9 Annotated, relating to definitions relative to professional 1-10 corporations, is amended by striking paragraph (2) of said 1-11 Code section and inserting in lieu thereof a new paragraph 1-12 (2) to read as follows: 1-13 "(2) 'Profession' means the profession of certified 1-14 public accountancy, architecture, chiropractic, 1-15 dentistry, professional engineering, land surveying, 1-16 law, pharmacy, psychology, medicine and surgery, 1-17 optometry, osteopathy, podiatry, veterinary medicine, 1-18 registered professional nursing, or harbor piloting." SECTION 2. 1-19 This Act shall become effective upon its approval by the 1-20 Governor or upon its becoming law without such approval. SECTION 3. 1-21 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are 1-22 repealed. -1- (Index)
