                        A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
                               AN ACT


  1- 1  To provide that all vehicles shall be registered and
  1- 2  licensed to operate for calendar year 1998 and thereafter in
  1- 3  Wilcox County during the four-month nonstaggered
  1- 4  registration period from January 1 through April 30 as
  1- 5  provided by general law; to provide an effective date; to
  1- 6  repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

  1- 7       BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

                         SECTION 1.

  1- 8  Effective January 1, 1998, the registration period for all
  1- 9  vehicles authorized or required to be registered in Wilcox
  1-10  County shall be a four-month nonstaggered registration
  1-11  period from January 1 through April 30 of each calendar
  1-12  year, and all such vehicles shall be registered and licensed
  1-13  to operate for the ensuing calendar year and each year
  1-14  thereafter during such period from January 1 through April
  1-15  30 of each calendar year as provided in subparagraph
  1-16  (a)(1)(C) of Code Section 40-2-21 of the O.C.G.A.

                         SECTION 2.

  1-17  This Act shall become effective on January 1, 1997.

                         SECTION 3.

  1-18  All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
  1-19  repealed.
