                        A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
                               AN ACT


  1- 1  To amend Code Section 16-11-130 of the Official Code of
  1- 2  Georgia Annotated, relating to exemptions from requirements
  1- 3  for licenses to carry certain weapons, so as to include
  1- 4  district attorneys emeritus among those exemptions; to
  1- 5  repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

  1- 6       BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

                         SECTION 1.

  1- 7  Code Section 16-11-130 of the Official Code of Georgia
  1- 8  Annotated, relating to exemptions from requirements for
  1- 9  licenses to carry certain weapons, is amended by striking
  1-10  paragraph (5) of subsection (a) thereof and inserting in its
  1-11  place a new paragraph to read as follows:

  1-12      "(5) District attorneys, district attorneys emeritus,
  1-13      investigators employed by and assigned to a district
  1-14      attorney's office, and assistant district attorneys;".

                         SECTION 2.

  1-15  All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
  1-16  repealed.
