HB 1829 LC 21 3773 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT 1- 1 To provide that all vehicles shall be registered and 1- 2 licensed to operate for calendar year 1998 and thereafter in 1- 3 Turner County during the period from January 1 through April 1- 4 30 as provided in subparagraph (a)(1)(C) of Code Section 1- 5 40-2-21 of the O.C.G.A.; to provide for a referendum; to 1- 6 repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes. 1- 7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: SECTION 1. 1- 8 Effective January 1, 1998, the registration period for all 1- 9 vehicles authorized or required to be registered in Turner 1-10 County shall be January 1 through April 30 of each calendar 1-11 year and all such vehicles shall be registered and licensed 1-12 to operate for the ensuing calendar year and each year 1-13 thereafter during such period from January 1 through April 1-14 30 of each calendar year as provided in subparagraph 1-15 (a)(1)(C) of Code Section 40-2-21 of the O.C.G.A. SECTION 2. 1-16 This Act shall become effective on January 1, 1997. SECTION 3. 1-17 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are 1-18 repealed. -1- (Index)
