A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
1- 1 To amend Article 1 of Chapter 18 of Title 45 of the Official
1- 2 Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the state employees'
1- 3 health insurance plan, so as to permit the Georgia Housing
1- 4 and Finance Authority to contract with the State Personnel
1- 5 Board for the participation of authority employees in the
1- 6 state employees' health insurance plan; to provide for the
1- 7 collection of payments from employees, retirees, and
1- 8 dependents; to provide for employer contributions; to
1- 9 provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and
1-10 for other purposes.
1-11 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION 1.
1-12 Article 1 of Chapter 18 of Title 45 of the Official Code of
1-13 Georgia Annotated, relating to the state employees' health
1-14 insurance plan, is amended by adding a new Code Section
1-15 45-18-7.5 to read as follows:
1-16 "45-18-7.5. (Index)
1-17 The board is authorized to contract with the Georgia
1-18 Housing and Finance Authority for the inclusion in any
1-19 health insurance plan or plans established under this
1-20 article of the employees and retiring employees of the
1-21 Georgia Housing and Finance Authority and their spouses
1-22 and dependent children, as defined by the regulations of
1-23 the board. It shall be the duty of the Georgia Housing
1-24 and Finance Authority to deduct from the salary or other
1-25 remuneration or otherwise collect such payment from its
1-26 qualified employees, retired employees, or dependents as
1-27 may be required under the board's regulations. In
1-28 addition, it shall be the duty of the Georgia Housing and
1-29 Finance Authority to make the employer contributions
1-30 required for the operation of such plan or plans."

SECTION 2.
2- 1 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
