HB 504 LC 22 1444 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT 1- 1 To amend Chapter 11 of Title 15 of the Official Code of 1- 2 Georgia Annotated, relating to juvenile proceedings and 1- 3 parental rights, so as to provide for 24 hour supervision of 1- 4 children by probation officers; to provide for related 1- 5 matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes. 1- 6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: SECTION 1. 1- 7 Chapter 11 of Title 15 of the Official Code of Georgia 1- 8 Annotated, relating to juvenile proceedings and parental 1- 9 rights, is amended by striking in its entirety paragraph (3) 1-10 of Code Section 15-11-8, relating to the duties of probation 1-11 officers, and inserting in lieu thereof the following: 1-12 "(3) On a 24 hour basis, shall Shall supervise and 1-13 assist a child placed on probation or in the protective 1-14 supervision or care of such probation officer by order 1-15 of the court or other authority of law;". SECTION 2. 1-16 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are 1-17 repealed. -1- (Index)
