A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
1- 1 To amend Code Section 15-12-7 of the Official Code of
1- 2 Georgia Annotated, relating to compensation of court
1- 3 bailiffs, so as to increase the per diem amount which may be
1- 4 fixed by the grand jury; to repeal conflicting laws; and for
1- 5 other purposes.
1- 6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION 1.
1- 7 Code Section 15-12-7 of the Official Code of Georgia
1- 8 Annotated, relating to compensation of court bailiffs, is
1- 9 amended by striking paragraph (1) of subsection (a) and
1-10 inserting in its place a new paragraph (1) to read as
1-11 follows:
1-12 "(1) The compensation of court bailiffs in the superior
1-13 courts of such counties for the next succeeding year,
1-14 such compensation not to be less than $5.00 nor to
1-15 exceed $60.00 $75.00 per diem. The same compensation
1-16 shall be allowed to bailiffs of the several state courts
1-17 and special courts as is allowed bailiffs in the
1-18 superior court of the county in which the state or
1-19 special court is located; and".
