HR 111 LC 8 2367 A RESOLUTION 1- 1 Expressing best wishes for a speedy recovery to Honorable 1- 2 Hamilton McWhorter, Jr.; and for other purposes. 1- 3 WHEREAS, Honorable Hamilton McWhorter, Jr., the former 1- 4 Secretary of the Senate and very dear friend of the members 1- 5 of this body, experienced a tragic fall and underwent 1- 6 extensive surgery prior to the 1995 Regular Session; and 1- 7 WHEREAS, his many colleagues and countless friends at the 1- 8 Capitol have been deeply concerned regarding the state of 1- 9 his health and his recuperative progress; and 1-10 WHEREAS, this wonderful gentleman holds a special place in 1-11 the hearts of those persons who have experienced his 1-12 magnanimous friendship and congenial manner; and 1-13 WHEREAS, his associates, colleagues, and friends express 1-14 their deepest concern and sincerest best wishes to this 1-15 prince of a man during his prolonged period of 1-16 convalescence; and 1-17 WHEREAS, it is the wish of his friends that these tidings of 1-18 hope and fond remembrances of times past will bring him some 1-19 cheer and convey our desire for a full and speedy recovery. 1-20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 1-21 REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body express to 1-22 Honorable Hamilton McWhorter, Jr., their regret concerning 1-23 his tragic fall and convey to him their sincerest best 1-24 wishes for a speedy and succesful recovery. 1-25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 1-26 Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an 1-27 appropriate copy of this resolution to Honorable Hamilton 1-28 McWhorter, Jr. -1- (Index)
