HR 309 LC 19 2425 A RESOLUTION 1- 1 Commending Mrs. Harriette Glenn Hamrick on the occasion of 1- 2 her retirement; and for other purposes. 1- 3 WHEREAS, Mrs. Harriette Glenn Hamrick was born in Grady 1- 4 County, Georgia, the youngest of four daughters of the late 1- 5 Robert and Marie Glenn; and 1- 6 WHEREAS, upon graduation from Pelham High School and the 1- 7 Women's College at Milledgeville, Georgia, she began her 1- 8 teaching career at Harper Elementary School in Thomasville, 1- 9 Georgia; and 1-10 WHEREAS, she was united in marriage to Robert H. (Bob) 1-11 Hamrick on December 19, 1970; and 1-12 WHEREAS, she began teaching in the Gwinnett County Public 1-13 Schools in 1972; and 1-14 WHEREAS, her tenure in Gwinnett County has included two 1-15 years at Lilburn Middle School and 21 years at Snellville 1-16 Middle School; and 1-17 WHEREAS, during her career, she has taught 23 out of 30 1-18 years in Gwinnett County; and 1-19 WHEREAS, she received her masters degree from Florida State 1-20 University in 1972 and holds a Life Certificate with the 1-21 State of Georgia; and 1-22 WHEREAS, she has been a loyal and dedicated teacher who has 1-23 shown outstanding courage, compassion, and leadership in the 1-24 classroom; and 1-25 WHEREAS, her professionalism has been and remains 1-26 exceptional, her character is an inspiration to all those 1-27 whose lives she touches, and her faith in God helps to make 1-28 her the very best kind of educator. 1-29 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 1-30 REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Mrs. 1-31 Harriette Glenn Hamrick for 30 years of dedicated service as 1-32 a teacher in the State of Georgia and express sincere best 1-33 wishes for continued happiness and good fortune during her 1-34 years of retirement. -1- (Index) LC 19 2425 2- 1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 2- 2 Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an 2- 3 appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Harriette Glenn 2- 4 Hamrick. -2- (Index)
