HR 39 LC 18 6482 A RESOLUTION 1- 1 Commending Dr. Jack R. Newman; and for other purposes. 1- 2 WHEREAS, Dr. Jack R. Newman has dedicated his life to the 1- 3 preservation of the health of his fellow Georgians through 1- 4 32 years of medical practice in the Butts County and City of 1- 5 Jackson areas; and 1- 6 WHEREAS, this long-time resident of the City of Jackson is a 1- 7 beloved and highly respected practitioner of the healing 1- 8 arts and has been an integral and irreplaceable member of 1- 9 the Butts County and City of Jackson communities since the 1-10 establishment of his practice in 1962; and 1-11 WHEREAS, this tireless healer is an enthusiastic supporter 1-12 of his community who has given unselfishly of his wisdom, 1-13 time, energy, and talents to countless educational, 1-14 religious, and charitable causes and organizations; and 1-15 WHEREAS, he has exerted a positive and constructive 1-16 influence on his community through his outstanding service 1-17 as chief of staff at Sylvan Grove Hospital and as a member 1-18 of the Sylvan Grove Hospital Authority; and 1-19 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body 1-20 to honor the illustrious career of this renowned and 1-21 esteemed physician who has humbly served the diverse needs 1-22 of the members of his community. 1-23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 1-24 REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body join in 1-25 unanimously recognizing Dr. Jack R. Newman for his 1-26 superlative achievements, accomplishments, and contributions 1-27 and commending the over three decades of selfless and 1-28 inspirational service that he has rendered on behalf of the 1-29 citizens of his community and state. 1-30 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 1-31 Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an 1-32 appropriate copy of this resolution to Dr. Jack R.
