HR 47 LC 9 7992 A RESOLUTION 1- 1 Expressing regret at the passing of Ralph Teems; and for 1- 2 other purposes. 1- 3 WHEREAS, for nearly 30 years Ralph Teems provided leadership 1- 4 in the remembrance of the valor and sacrifices of the men 1- 5 and women from Catoosa County who have served in the armed 1- 6 forces of the United States; and 1- 7 WHEREAS, he began his recognition of veterans by erecting a 1- 8 dozen free-standing American flags at Anderson Cemetery and 1- 9 over the years enlisted the help of his family, friends, 1-10 veterans organizations, and others each Memorial Day and 1-11 each Veterans Day in placing numerous flags in white wooden 1-12 crosses bearing the names of deceased veterans; and 1-13 WHEREAS, his long-term meritorious service to the memory of 1-14 veterans and his vigorous involvement in and dedication to 1-15 community, civic, and charitable causes earned him the 1-16 recognition and respect of his community and state. 1-17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 1-18 REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body express their 1-19 deepest regret at the passing of Ralph Teems and extend 1-20 their sincerest sympathy to the members of his family. 1-21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 1-22 Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an 1-23 appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of Ralph 1-24 Teems. -1- (Index)
