                             A RESOLUTION

  1- 1  Commending R. David McCleskey; and for other purposes.

  1- 2  WHEREAS, R. David McCleskey stands alone among his
  1- 3  colleagues in his unwavering pursuit of academic excellence
  1- 4  and his lifelong commitment to improving educational
  1- 5  opportunities for young people; and

  1- 6  WHEREAS, as legislative liaison for the Gwinnett County
  1- 7  School System he has established a remarkable reputation as
  1- 8  a diligent, conscientious, tireless, and energetic worker in
  1- 9  the field of public education; and

  1-10  WHEREAS, he has selflessly devoted innumerable hours of his
  1-11  time, talents, and energy toward the betterment of education
  1-12  in Gwinnett County and his stalwart efforts are directly
  1-13  responsible for helping establish the Gwinnett County School
  1-14  System as a leader in education; and

  1-15  WHEREAS, his significant organizational and leadership
  1-16  talents, his remarkable patience and diplomacy, his keen
  1-17  sense of vision, and his sensitivity to the needs of the
  1-18  citizens of his community have earned him the respect and
  1-19  admiration of his colleagues and associates; and

  1-20  WHEREAS, he is a man of magnanimous strengths with an
  1-21  unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence,
  1-22  fairness, and kindness; and

  1-23  WHEREAS, his life of selfless dedication and courageous
  1-24  commitment as a teacher, central office staff member, and
  1-25  legislative liaison has deeply influenced the lives and
  1-26  characters of thousands of students, inspiring and leading
  1-27  them toward the attainment of the ideals of academic
  1-28  success, moral integrity, and personal growth and
  1-29  development; and

  1-30  WHEREAS, he is a man of strong faith and conviction, a
  1-31  devoted family man, and a loving spouse and father; and

  1-32  WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the
  1-33  outstanding accomplishments of this distinguished Georgian
  1-34  be appropriately recognized.

  2- 1  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF
  2- 2  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body and the
  2- 3  members of the Gwinnett County delegation in particular
  2- 4  commend R. David McCleskey for his two decades of efficient,
  2- 5  effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the
  2- 6  citizens and young people of his community and state.

  2- 7  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of
  2- 8  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an
  2- 9  appropriate copy of this resolution to R. David McCleskey.
