A RESOLUTION
1- 1 Proposing an amendment to the Constitution so as to provide
1- 2 for the creation of the Georgia Wildflower Project Trust
1- 3 Fund; to provide for the dedication and deposit of revenues
1- 4 from specified sources for the purposes of the fund; to
1- 5 provide that such funds shall not lapse; to provide for the
1- 6 submission of this amendment for ratification or rejection;
1- 7 and for other purposes.
1- 8 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION 1.
1- 9 Article III, Section IX, Paragraph VI of the Constitution is
1-10 amended by adding a new subparagraph (k) to read as follows:
1-11 "(k) There is created the Georgia Wildflower Project
1-12 Trust Fund. All moneys derived from the sale of special
1-13 and distinctive wildflower license plates shall be
1-14 dedicated to and appropriated for the establishment and
1-15 operation of the Georgia Wildflower Project which shall
1-16 include planning and implementation of a comprehensive
1-17 plan for the planting and permanent maintenance of
1-18 wildflowers along the public roads of the interstate and
1-19 federal-aid primary highway system in this state. The
1-20 Georgia Wildflower Project shall be administered and
1-21 implemented by the Department of Transportation. The
1-22 moneys of the Georgia Wildflower Project Trust Fund shall
1-23 be maintained separately from and shall not be utilized
1-24 for any other activities of the Georgia Department of
1-25 Transportation. Moneys deposited into the fund shall not
1-26 be subject to the provisions of Article III, Section IX,
1-27 Paragraph IV(c) relative to the lapsing of funds."
SECTION 2.
1-28 The above proposed amendment to the Constitution shall be
1-29 published and submitted as provided in Article X, Section I,
1-30 Paragraph II of the Constitution.
1-31 The ballot submitting the above proposed amendment shall
1-32 have written or printed thereon the following:

2- 3 ( ) NO Wildflower Project Trust Fund and the
2- 4 dedication of all moneys derived from the sale

2- 6 plates to such fund for the purpose of
2- 7 implementing a permanent plan of wildflower
2- 8 plantings along the public roads of the
2- 9 interstate and federal-aid primary highways
2-10 system in this state?"
2-11 All persons desiring to vote in favor of ratifying the
2-12 proposed amendment shall vote "Yes." All persons desiring
2-13 to vote against ratifying the proposed amendment shall vote
2-14 "No."
2-15 If such amendment shall be ratified as provided in said
2-16 Paragraph of the Constitution, it shall become a part of the
2-17 Constitution of this state.
