HR 605 LC 19 2655 A RESOLUTION 1- 1 Commending Edna F. Killum; and for other purposes. 1- 2 WHEREAS, Edna F. Killum, R.N., C.I.C., was a valuable member 1- 3 of the Georgia Task Force on AIDS for four years from 1- 4 1990-1994; and 1- 5 WHEREAS, she served as the vice-chairperson of the task 1- 6 force from 1992-1994; and 1- 7 WHEREAS, from 1985-1989 prior to becoming a member, she 1- 8 served as a resource consultant to the Georgia Task Force on 1- 9 AIDS; and 1-10 WHEREAS, her dedicated efforts as a member of the task force 1-11 resulted in greater involvement in HIV related activities by 1-12 the Atlanta Chapter of the Association for Professionals in 1-13 Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC); and 1-14 WHEREAS, her excellent service as a member of the task force 1-15 led to her appointment as a member of the Department of 1-16 Human Resources People of Color Initiative panel which 1-17 reviewed minority grant applications. 1-18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 1-19 REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Edna 1-20 F. Killum and express appreciation for her exemplary public 1-21 service as a member of the Georgia Task Force on AIDS. 1-22 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 1-23 Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an 1-24 appropriate copy of this resolution to Edna F.
