                             A RESOLUTION

  1- 1  Commending Skyview Elementary School; and for other
  1- 2  purposes.

  1- 3  WHEREAS, Skyview Elementary was opened in 1958 and has been
  1- 4  educating the children of Cobb County, Georgia, ever since;
  1- 5  and

  1- 6  WHEREAS, fitness, health, and nutritional concerns are
  1- 7  important issues to the citizens of Georgia and the United
  1- 8  States; and

  1- 9  WHEREAS, the health and future well-being of our state and
  1-10  nation rely upon their citizens' ability to make healthy
  1-11  nutritional choices; and

  1-12  WHEREAS, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
  1-13  located in Atlanta, Georgia, is vested with the
  1-14  responsibility of protecting our nation's health; and

  1-15  WHEREAS, Skyview Elementary School has a well-recognized
  1-16  health and nutrition program; and

  1-17  WHEREAS, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have
  1-18  chosen to visit and honor Skyview Elementary School in
  1-19  recognition of their excellent health and nutrition program.

  1-20  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF
  1-21  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend the
  1-22  students, faculty, and families of Skyview Elementary upon
  1-23  their selection by the Centers for Disease Control and
  1-24  Prevention for having a health and nutrition program of
  1-25  distinction and recognize them on January 25, 1996, in honor
  1-26  of Skyview Elementary Nutrition Day.

  1-27  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of
  1-28  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an
  1-29  appropriate copy of this resolution Skyview Elementary
  1-30  School.
