                             A RESOLUTION

  1- 1  Congratulating and commending Peachtree Elementary School;
  1- 2  and for other purposes.

  1- 3  WHEREAS, Peachtree Elementary School in Gwinnett County has
  1- 4  established and maintained a proud tradition of excellence
  1- 5  based upon its comprehensive effort to further the
  1- 6  intellectual, social, and ethical development of its
  1- 7  students and, in January, 1996, is celebrating its
  1- 8  twenty-fifth year of service to its community; and

  1- 9  WHEREAS, the school has forged a peerless partnership with
  1-10  parents and the business community to design and implement
  1-11  model goals and programs to address the needs of the
  1-12  students in a challenging and meaningful manner; and

  1-13  WHEREAS, the student body of the school is comprised of
  1-14  numerous ethnic and racial groups with a variety of economic
  1-15  backgrounds and has shattered the myth that diversity does
  1-16  not equal success; and

  1-17  WHEREAS, under the expert guidance of the administration and
  1-18  the talented faculty, the students of this outstanding
  1-19  institution of learning have developed the mental agility,
  1-20  verbal dexterity, and intellectual acumen necessary for
  1-21  continued excellence in academics; and

  1-22  WHEREAS, in recognition of the high quality of instruction
  1-23  and professionalism of this school's teachers and the
  1-24  ability, motivation, and commitment of its students, the
  1-25  school was selected as a High Achieving School by the State
  1-26  of Georgia in 1994 and selected as a Georgia School of
  1-27  Excellence in 1990 and 1995; and

  1-28  WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the
  1-29  school's superlative record of scholarly achievement and
  1-30  peerless performance be recognized in an appropriate manner.

  1-31  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF
  1-32  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body congratulate
  1-33  Peachtree Elementary School upon the occasion of its
  1-34  twenty-fifth anniversary, commend the administration,
  1-35  faculty and students for their outstanding pursuit and

  2- 2  sincerest best wishes for continued success in the future.

  2- 3  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of

  2- 5  appropriate copy of this resolution to Peachtree Elementary
