SB 33 95 LC 22 1300 SENATE BILL 33 By: Senators Marable of the 52nd, Dean of the 31st, Ray of the 19th and Hill of the 4th A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT 1- 1 To amend Title 21 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, 1- 2 relating to elections, so as to provide for the display of 1- 3 the United States flag at each polling place on election 1- 4 day; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes. 1- 5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: SECTION 1. 1- 6 Title 21 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating 1- 7 to elections, is amended in Code Section 21-2-267, relating 1- 8 to polling places, by inserting a new subsection to be 1- 9 designated subsection (d) to read as follows: 1-10 "(d) Each room used as a polling place shall display a 1-11 United States flag on the date of any election or 1-12 primary." SECTION 2. 1-13 Said title is further amended in Code Section 21-3-165, 1-14 relating to polling places for municipal elections, by 1-15 inserting a new subsection to be designated subsection (e) 1-16 to read as follows: 1-17 "(e) Each room used as a polling place shall display a 1-18 United States flag on the date of any election or 1-19 primary." SECTION 3. 1-20 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are 1-21 repealed. S. B. 33 -1- (Index)
