A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
1- 1 To amend Code Section 15-10-80 of the Official Code of

1- 3 magistrate court, so as to increase the amount of the filing
1- 4 fee; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
1- 5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION 1.
1- 6 Code Section 15-10-80 of the Official Code of Georgia
1- 7 Annotated, relating to fees and costs in the magistrate
1- 8 court, is amended by striking in its entirety subsection (a)
1- 9 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
1-10 "(a) Upon filing any civil action the plaintiff shall pay
1-11 a filing deposit as established by local court rule not to
1-12 exceed $20.00 $58.00 which shall cover all costs of the
1-13 action except service of process."
SECTION 2.
1-14 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
1-15 repealed.
