First Reader Summary

A BILL to amend Code Section 40-6-6 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the operation of authorized emergency vehicles and law enforcement vehicles, so as to provide when a law enforcement officer in a law enforcement vehicle is pursuing a fleeing suspect and the suspect injures or kills a third party, a law enforcement officer, or himself or herself as a result of the pursuit, the law enforcement officer's pursuit shall be the proximate cause of any such injury; and for other purposes.
