First Reader Summary

A BILL to amend Chapter 1 of Title 42 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to penal institutions in general, so as to provide that any person sentenced to confinement for a period of two years or more and who has not received a high school diploma or general educational development (GED) equivalency diploma shall not be eligible for parole or early release until such person has received a general educational development (GED) equivalency diploma; and for other purposes.
