                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Authorizing the conveyance of certain state owned real 
  1- 2  property located in Bibb County, Georgia; to repeal 
  1- 3  conflicting laws; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 4  WHEREAS, the State of Georgia is the owner of a certain 
  1- 5  parcel of real property located in Bibb County, Georgia; and 
 
  1- 6  WHEREAS, said real property is all that tract or parcel of 
  1- 7  land lying and being in Bibb County, Georgia, containing 
  1- 8  approximately 0.34 of one acre, as described as Parcel 46 on 
  1- 9  that highway construction drawing entitled "Clinton Road STA 
  1-10  24+50 to 20+50 Right of Way" on file in the offices of the 
  1-11  State Properties Commission, and may be more particularly 
  1-12  described on a plat of survey prepared by a Georgia 
  1-13  registered land surveyor and presented to the State 
  1-14  Properties Commission for approval; and 
 
  1-15  WHEREAS, said property is under the custody of the Georgia 
  1-16  Department of Defense; and 
 
  1-17  WHEREAS, Bibb County is making certain highway improvements 
  1-18  along Clinton Road in Bibb County; and 
 
  1-19  WHEREAS, said road improvements will require that Bibb 
  1-20  County acquire the above-described state property; and 
 
  1-21  WHEREAS, by letter dated November 5, 1997, the Department of 
  1-22  Defense stated it had no objection to the conveyance and 
  1-23  would benefit from the conveyance. 
 
  1-24  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ENACTED BY THE GENERAL 
  1-25  ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: 
 
  1-26                           SECTION 1. 
 
  1-27  That the State of Georgia is the owner of the 
  1-28  above-described real property and that in all matters 
  1-29  relating to the conveyance of the real property the State of 
  1-30  Georgia is acting by and through its State Properties 
  1-31  Commission. 
 
  1-32                           SECTION 2. 
 
  1-33  That the above-described real property shall be conveyed by 
  1-34  appropriate instrument to Bibb County by the State of

  2- 1  Georgia, acting by and through the State Properties 
  2- 2  Commission, for a consideration of $10.00 and such further 
  2- 3  consideration and provisions as the State Properties 
  2- 4  Commission shall in its discretion determine to be in the 
  2- 5  best interests of the State of Georgia. 
 
  2- 6                           SECTION 3. 
 
  2- 7  That the authorization in this resolution to convey the 
  2- 8  above-described property to Bibb County shall expire three 
  2- 9  years after the date that this resolution becomes effective. 
 
  2-10                           SECTION 4. 
 
  2-11  That the State Properties Commission is authorized and 
  2-12  empowered to do all acts and things necessary and proper to 
  2-13  effect such conveyance. 
 
  2-14                           SECTION 5. 
 
  2-15  That the deed of conveyance shall be recorded by the grantee 
  2-16  in the Superior Court of Bibb County and a recorded copy 
  2-17  shall be forwarded to the State Properties Commission. 
 
  2-18                           SECTION 6. 
 
  2-19  That all laws and parts of laws in conflict with this
