                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Authorizing the conveyance of certain state owned real 
  1- 2  properties located in Baldwin County, Georgia; to repeal 
  1- 3  conflicting laws; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 4  WHEREAS, the State of Georgia is the owner of 72 certain 
  1- 5  parcels of improved real property located in the City of 
  1- 6  Milledgeville, Baldwin County, Georgia; and 
 
  1- 7  WHEREAS, said real properties are all those 72 houses and 
  1- 8  surrounding tracts or parcels of land as indicated on a 
  1- 9  drawing dated December 12, 1996, entitled "CSH Personal 
  1-10  Dwellings" and being on file in the offices of the State 
  1-11  Properties Commission, and may be more particularly 
  1-12  described on a plat or plats of survey prepared by a Georgia 
  1-13  registered land surveyor and presented to the State 
  1-14  Properties Commission for approval; and 
 
  1-15  WHEREAS, said property is under the custody of the 
  1-16  Department of Human Resources and Department of Corrections 
  1-17  for use as personal dwellings; and 
 
  1-18  WHEREAS, it has been determined that it would be in the best 
  1-19  interests of the State of Georgia that all or a portion of 
  1-20  the above-described improved properties be sold. 
 
  1-21  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ENACTED BY THE GENERAL 
  1-22  ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: 
 
  1-23                           SECTION 1. 
 
  1-24  That the State of Georgia is the owner of the 
  1-25  above-described real properties and that in all matters 
  1-26  relating to the conveyance of the real properties the State 
  1-27  of Georgia is acting by and through its State Properties 
  1-28  Commission. 
 
  1-29                           SECTION 2. 
 
  1-30  That all or a portion of each of the above-described real 
  1-31  properties shall be sold by appropriate instrument by the 
  1-32  State of Georgia, acting by and through the Department of 
  1-33  Human Resources with the approval of the State Properties 
  1-34  Commission, for a consideration of the fair market value as 
  1-35  determined by the State Properties Commission, and such

  2- 1  further consideration and provisions as the State Properties 
  2- 2  Commission shall in its discretion determine to be in the 
  2- 3  best interests of the State of Georgia. 
 
  2- 4                           SECTION 3. 
 
  2- 5  That a minimum of five of the above-described houses and 
  2- 6  surrounding tracts or parcels shall be available for sale at 
  2- 7  all times until it is determined by the State Properties 
  2- 8  Commission that no further houses and surrounding tracts or 
  2- 9  parcels should be sold. 
 
  2-10                           SECTION 4. 
 
  2-11  That the State Properties Commission is authorized and 
  2-12  empowered to do all acts and things necessary and proper to 
  2-13  effect such conveyance. 
 
  2-14                           SECTION 5. 
 
  2-15  That the deeds of conveyance shall be recorded by the 
  2-16  purchaser in the Superior Court of Baldwin County and a 
  2-17  recorded copy shall be forwarded to the State Properties 
  2-18  Commission. 
 
  2-19                           SECTION 6. 
 
  2-20  That all laws and parts of laws in conflict with this
