                             A RESOLUTION

  1- 1 Creating the Sam Nunn Tribute Commission; and for other
  1- 2  purposes.

  1- 3 WHEREAS, the Honorable Sam Nunn became one of Georgia's most

  1-10  University; and

  1-11 WHEREAS, public service was respected and valued as a proud
  1-12 tradition in his family, and he served in the Georgia House
  1-13 of Representatives as had his father, Samuel Augustus Nunn
  1-14 and his great uncle, Carl Vinson, who later achieved

  1-16 United States House of Representatives; and

  1-17 WHEREAS, during his quarter-century of service in the United
  1-18 States Senate, he developed a sterling reputation that
  1-19 reflects his personal commitment to intellectual growth,

  1-21 fortunate, and dedication of his talent to meaningful
  1-22  purposes;

  1-23 WHEREAS, the Honorable Sam Nunn has returned to his native
  1-24 state having received national recognition for his
  1-25 leadership, keen judgment, and persuasive ability, and it is
