                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Commending the Dunwoody High School Lady Wildcats softball 
  1- 2  team; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 3  WHEREAS, the Dunwoody High School Lady Wildcats softball 
  1- 4  team has established and maintained a proud tradition of 
  1- 5  excellence in girls' fastpitch softball; and 
 
  1- 6  WHEREAS, this superlative team, led by their senior captains 
  1- 7  Amy Thompson, Ashley Fawcett, and Adrienne Fortmann, has 
  1- 8  completed an ultrasuccessful season of softball competition 
  1- 9  by posting an outstanding record of 27 wins and only 4 
  1-10  losses with an unbelievable four-year record of 101 wins and 
  1-11  15 losses; and 
 
  1-12  WHEREAS, Coaches Cheryl Finke and Lynn Maddox have instilled 
  1-13  in these dynamic athletes the courage, determination, and 
  1-14  persistence needed to attain excellence in athletic prowess, 
  1-15  team spirit, and individual motivation; and 
 
  1-16  WHEREAS, as a fitting finale to their remarkable 1996 
  1-17  campaign, the Dunwoody High School Lady Wildcats captured 
  1-18  the Area 6 region title with a perfect 12-0 record; and 
 
  1-19  WHEREAS, the superior skills exhibited by the Dunwoody High 
  1-20  School Lady Wildcats coupled with the astute coaching by 
  1-21  Coaches Finke and Maddox stand as a shining and lofty 
  1-22  example of outstanding accomplishments which few schools can 
  1-23  hope to attain. 
 
  1-24  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the 
  1-25  members of this body commend the Dunwoody High School Lady 
  1-26  Wildcats softball team for its unparalleled achievements and 
  1-27  extend their sincerest best wishes for continued success in 
  1-28  the future. 
 
  1-29  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is 
  1-30  authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of 
  1-31  this resolution to Coaches Cheryl Finke and Lynn Maddox.
