                        A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 
                               AN ACT 
 
 
  1- 1  To amend an Act creating the Board of Commissioners of Floyd 
  1- 2  County, approved July 28, 1917 (Ga. L. 1917, p. 351), as 
  1- 3  amended, so as to repeal the provisions relating to the 
  1- 4  manner of filling vacancies on the board; to repeal 
  1- 5  conflicting laws; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 6       BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: 
 
  1- 7                           SECTION 1. 
 
  1- 8  An Act creating the Board of Commissioners of Floyd County, 
  1- 9  approved July 28, 1917 (Ga. L. 1917, p. 351), as amended, is 
  1-10  amended by striking Section 5 of said Act, which reads as 
  1-11  follows: 
 
 
 
  1-12    Vacancies on the board shall be filled by the remaining 
  1-13    members of the board appointing a successor to fill out 
  1-14    the unexpired term of office and until a successor is 
  1-15    elected and qualified pursuant to Section 4 of this Act.", 
 
  1-16  in its entirety. 
 
  1-17                           SECTION 2. 
 
  1-18  All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
