A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
1- 1 To amend an Act incorporating the City of Gray, approved
1- 2 August 22, 1911 (Ga. L. 1911, p. 1267), as amended, so as to
1- 3 provide that the City of Gray may acquire, construct, and
1- 4 maintain, by condemnation or otherwise, inside or outside
1- 5 the city limits, public ways, public grounds, public
1- 6 buildings, sewers, drains, sewage treatment and waterworks
1- 7 systems, and any other public water and sewer improvements;
1- 8 to provide that such city, by ordinance, may establish and
1- 9 enforce rules and regulations necessary to preserve order,
1-10 peace, and dignity on any property or facilities so
1-11 acquired; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other
1-12 purposes.
1-13 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
1-14 SECTION 1.
1-15 To amend an Act incorporating the City of Gray, approved
1-16 August 22, 1911 (Ga. L. 1911, p. 1267), as amended, is
1-17 amended by adding between Sections 16A and 17 a new Section
1-18 16B to read as follows:
1-19 "SECTION 16B.
1-20 The city may acquire, construct, and maintain, by
1-21 condemnation or otherwise, inside or outside the city
1-22 limits, public ways, public grounds, public buildings,
1-23 sewers, drains, sewage treatment and waterworks systems,
1-24 and any other public water and sewer improvements. The
1-25 city, by ordinance, may establish and enforce rules and
1-26 regulations necessary to preserve order, peace, and
1-27 dignity on any property or facilities so acquired."
1-28 SECTION 2.
1-29 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
1-30 repealed.
