                        A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 
                               AN ACT 
 
 
  1- 1  To amend Code Section 40-3-4 of the Official Code of Georgia 
  1- 2  Annotated, relating to exclusions from title requirements 
  1- 3  for motor vehicles, so as to change certain provisions 
  1- 4  relating to excluded older models; to provide an effective 
  1- 5  date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 6       BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: 
 
  1- 7                           SECTION 1. 
 
  1- 8  Code Section 40-3-4 of the Official Code of Georgia 
  1- 9  Annotated, relating to exclusions from title requirements 
  1-10  for motor vehicles, is amended by striking subparagraph (A) 
  1-11  of paragraph (14) and inserting in lieu thereof the 
  1-12  following: 
 
  1-13        "(14)(A) A vehicle, other than a mobile home or crane, 
  1-14        the model year of which is 15 or more model years old 
  1-15        prior to 1986.  For purposes of this subparagraph, a 
  1-16        model year begins on September 1 of each year." 
 
  1-17                           SECTION 2. 
 
  1-18  This Act shall become effective upon its approval by the 
  1-19  Governor or upon its becoming law without such approval. 
 
  1-20                           SECTION 3. 
 
  1-21  All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
