                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Recognizing the Stewart-Stringer-Myler family reunion; and 
  1- 2  for other purposes. 
 
  1- 3  WHEREAS, members of the Stewart, Stringer, and Myler 
  1- 4  families have met biennially for the past 12 years to 
  1- 5  celebrate their combined family's heritage and blessings; 
  1- 6  and 
 
  1- 7  WHEREAS, through a common heritage and renewing closeness in 
  1- 8  family ties, these fine people have become known as the 
  1- 9  Stewart-Stringer-Myler Family; and 
 
  1-10  WHEREAS, the Stewart-Stringer-Myler Family is holding its 
  1-11  biennial family reunion in Chatham County from July 27 
  1-12  through July 30, 2000; and 
 
  1-13  WHEREAS, for this year's reunion, more than 150 family 
  1-14  members, representing 18 different states and the District 
  1-15  of Columbia, are gathering in our lovely county for four 
  1-16  days to celebrate their ancestry; and 
 
  1-17  WHEREAS, the heirs of the Stewart-Stringer-Myler Family have 
  1-18  exemplified the best in American and African American family 
  1-19  life, particularly through the Stringers of Savannah, 
  1-20  Chatham County, Georgia, who are the hosts and organizers of 
  1-21  this year's event. 
 
  1-22  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-23  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize the 
  1-24  Stewart-Stringer-Myler family reunion and heartily welcome 
  1-25  all family members to the State of Georgia on this joyous 
  1-26  occasion. 
 
  1-27  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-28  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an 
  1-29  appropriate copy of this resolution to the
