                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Commending the Parkview High School Panthers soccer team; 
  1- 2  and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 3  WHEREAS, the Parkview High School Panthers soccer team has 
  1- 4  established and maintained a proud tradition of excellence 
  1- 5  in boys' soccer with equal emphasis on character and 
  1- 6  academics; and 
 
  1- 7  WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed another 
  1- 8  ultrasuccessful season of soccer competition by posting an 
  1- 9  outstanding record of 17 wins and one loss; and 
 
  1-10  WHEREAS, the Panthers prowled through the state playoffs 
  1-11  posting dramatic wins over their opponents and, as a fitting 
  1-12  finale to their remarkable 1998 campaign, the team captured 
  1-13  the Class AAAA State Soccer Championship in a convincing 4-2 
  1-14  win over McIntosh County; and 
 
  1-15  WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team as it won 
  1-16  its second consecutive state title and its fourth since 1993 
  1-17  is a clear indication of the outstanding athletic ability, 
  1-18  the dedication and hard work, and the unity of purpose and 
  1-19  spirit of each member of the team, the team's superb 
  1-20  offensive and defensive talents, and the astute direction of 
  1-21  Head Coach Karl Bostick; and 
 
  1-22  WHEREAS, this magnificent team performed with precision 
  1-23  during the season and earned its well-deserved reputation 
  1-24  for high standards of athletic achievement, the quality of 
  1-25  its play, and the stiff competition which it presented its 
  1-26  opponents. 
 
  1-27  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-28  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend the 
  1-29  Parkview High School Panthers soccer team for its 
  1-30  unparalleled achievements and extend their sincerest best 
  1-31  wishes for continued success in the future. 
 
  1-32  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-33  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an 
  1-34  appropriate copy of this resolution to Head Coach Karl
