                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Commending Rowena Fripp; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 2  WHEREAS, Rowena Fripp has long been recognized by the 
  1- 3  citizens of Tybee Island and Chatham County for the vital 
  1- 4  role that she has played in community leadership and her 
  1- 5  deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of 
  1- 6  Georgia; and 
 
  1- 7  WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted 
  1- 8  innumerable hours of her time, talents, and energy toward 
  1- 9  the betterment of her community and state as evidenced 
  1-10  dramatically by 22 years of service with Tybee Island as a 
  1-11  secretary, clerk, clerk administrator, city clerk, city 
  1-12  administrator, finance and budget director, and assistant 
  1-13  city manager; and 
 
  1-14  WHEREAS, her significant organizational and leadership 
  1-15  talents, her remarkable patience and diplomacy, her keen 
  1-16  sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of the 
  1-17  citizens of her community have earned her the respect, 
  1-18  admiration, and love of her colleagues and associates; and 
 
  1-19  WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an 
  1-20  unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, 
  1-21  fairness, and kindness; and 
 
  1-22  WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the 
  1-23  outstanding accomplishments of this distinguished Georgian 
  1-24  be appropriately recognized. 
 
  1-25  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-26  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Rowena 
  1-27  Fripp for her over two decades of efficient, effective, 
  1-28  unselfish, and dedicated public service to the citizens of 
  1-29  her community and state and extend to her their most sincere 
  1-30  best wishes for continued health and happiness. 
 
  1-31  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-32  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an 
  1-33  appropriate copy of this resolution to Rowena Fripp.
