                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Recognizing the Cordele-Crisp County Fish Fry and commending 
  1- 2  Mr. Don Tucker, Mr. Richard E. Smith, Mr. James Nance, and 
  1- 3  Ms. Jean Burnette, and inviting the cooking team to appear 
  1- 4  before the House of Representatives; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 5  WHEREAS, the Cordele-Crisp County Fish Fry, which will be 
  1- 6  held to honor the General Assembly of Georgia on Monday, 
  1- 7  February 22, 1999, has become an eagerly anticipated and 
  1- 8  much appreciated event during the annual legislative 
  1- 9  session; and 
 
  1-10  WHEREAS, while some legislators may be accustomed to the 
  1-11  bland fare that passes for food within the confines of 
  1-12  Interstate 285, a majority long for the real flavor of fried 
  1-13  catfish and hush puppies, and the Cordele-Crisp County Fish 
  1-14  Fry offers them much welcomed relief during their annual 
  1-15  sojourn to Atlanta; and 
 
  1-16  WHEREAS, Mr. Don Tucker of the Crisp County Power 
  1-17  Commission; Mr. Richard E. Smith, chairperson of the 
  1-18  Cordele-Crisp County Chamber of Commerce; Mr. James Nance, 
  1-19  chairman of the Crisp County Board of Commissioners; Ms. 
  1-20  Jean Burnette, Assistant City Manager of the City of 
  1-21  Cordele, are recognized as the spokespersons for the 
  1-22  Cordele-Crisp County Fish Fry; and 
 
  1-23  WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper to recognize and 
  1-24  commend these dedicated civic leaders for their outstanding 
  1-25  efforts in hosting this delicious event. 
 
  1-26  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-27  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize the 
  1-28  Cordele-Crisp County Fish Fry and commend Mr. Don Tucker, 
  1-29  Mr. Richard E. Smith, Mr. James Nance, and Ms. Jean Burnette 
  1-30  and invite the cooking team to appear before the House of 
  1-31  Representatives at a date and time to be set by the Speaker 
  1-32  of the House of Representatives. 
 
  1-33  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-34  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit 
  1-35  appropriate copies of this resolution to Mr. Don Tucker, Mr.
