                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Commending the Gatewood Schools Lady Gators Basketball Team, 
  1- 2  State Champions, and inviting the team members, coaches, and 
  1- 3  managers to appear before the House of Representatives; and 
  1- 4  for other purposes. 
 
  1- 5  WHEREAS, the Gatewood Lady Gators Basketball Team recently 
  1- 6  won the GISA AA State Championship; and 
 
  1- 7  WHEREAS, this was the fourth state title and the first 
  1- 8  undefeated season for the Lady Gators; and 
 
  1- 9  WHEREAS, each member of this remarkable team has worked hard 
  1-10  to sharpen her skills as an individual, and has displayed 
  1-11  excellent cooperation with other team members; and 
 
  1-12  WHEREAS, the Lady Gators easily beat every team in their 
  1-13  region, but they began the second half of their championship 
  1-14  game trailing, and their boundless competitive spirit kept 
  1-15  them moving on to victory; and 
 
  1-16  WHEREAS, coaches Jeff Eubanks and Edwin Cook and managers 
  1-17  Karen Willis, Susan Franks, and Brittney Rouse encouraged 
  1-18  and led the Lady Gators to the top; and 
 
  1-19  WHEREAS, the team members acknowledge that they could not 
  1-20  have won without the support of their many fans, who are 
  1-21  justly proud of the team's achievements; and 
 
  1-22  WHEREAS, the team's championship season depended upon each 
  1-23  member's playing her part, and they all came through: Rachel 
  1-24  Parham, Billie Haskins, Hannah Hudson, Stephanie White, 
  1-25  Kimberly Johns, Mandy Alliston, Ansley Winslette, Stephanie 
  1-26  Dixon, Amy Ward, Cristi McElhenney, and Stephanie Lavoie. 
 
  1-27  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-28  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend the 
  1-29  members, coaches, and managers of the Gatewood Schools Lady 
  1-30  Gators Basketball Team, State Champions, for their victories 
  1-31  and their perseverance, and invite them to appear before the 
  1-32  House of Representatives at a date and time to be determined 
  1-33  by the Speaker of the House of Representatives. 
 
  1-34  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-35  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an
