                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Recognizing the Fannin County Recreation Department nine and 
  1- 2  ten year old girls basketball team; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 3  WHEREAS, the Fannin County Recreation Department nine and 
  1- 4  ten year old girls basketball team won the Georgia 
  1- 5  Recreation and Park Association District 5, Class C 
  1- 6  basketball tournament on Friday, March 5 and Saturday, March 
  1- 7  6, 1999, at Fannin County; and 
 
  1- 8  WHEREAS, the girls defeated teams from Tallapoosa, Gilmer 
  1- 9  County, Bremen, and Pickens County to earn the Georgia 
  1-10  Recreation and Park Association District 5 championship 
  1-11  trophy; and 
 
  1-12  WHEREAS, the girls then proceeded to Dawson County where 
  1-13  they had advanced for state level competition against Social 
  1-14  Circle, Bowden, Dawson County, Banks County, Charlton 
  1-15  County, Dooley County, and Glennville and won the Georgia 
  1-16  Recreation and Park Association, District 5, Class C State 
  1-17  Tournament; and 
 
  1-18  WHEREAS, the members of the team are: Bethany Patterson, 
  1-19  Caitlin Graham, Brittney Lindsey, Ashley Buchanan, Anna 
  1-20  Pless, Jordan Henson, Natasha Anderson, Kristen Chastain, 
  1-21  Natasha McClure, and Dana Flowers; and 
 
  1-22  WHEREAS, Coaches Lori Anderson and Johnny Chastain, Jr., 
  1-23  encouraged the players to sharpen their skills and develop 
  1-24  both a keen competitive spirit and a valuable ability to 
  1-25  cooperate as a team; and 
 
  1-26  WHEREAS, Fannin County is justly proud of the nine and ten 
  1-27  year old girls basketball team. 
 
  1-28  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-29  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend and 
  1-30  congratulate the players and coaches of the Fannin County 
  1-31  Recreation Department nine and ten year old girls basketball 
  1-32  team for their successful pursuit of athletic excellence and 
  1-33  wish them continued success in future endeavors. 
 
  1-34  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-35  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an
