                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Expressing regrets at the passing of Secresta A. Roach; and 
  1- 2  for other purposes. 
 
  1- 3  WHEREAS, Secresta A. Roach was a native of Savannah, 
  1- 4  Georgia, who will long be remembered by her many friends and 
  1- 5  loving family for her meaningful contributions to her 
  1- 6  community; and 
 
  1- 7  WHEREAS, she recognized the critical role of parents in the 
  1- 8  well-being and development of children and became a foster 
  1- 9  parent with Chatham County Family and Children Services for 
  1-10  nearly 30 years; and 
 
  1-11  WHEREAS, she was an active member of Greater Garvin's Temple 
  1-12  Baptist Church where she was treasurer of the Usher Board 
  1-13  No. 1 and a member of the Pastor's Convention Club and the 
  1-14  Willing Workers; and 
 
  1-15  WHEREAS, she was a financial secretary and an associate 
  1-16  matron of Deborah Chapter No. 9, Order of the Eastern 
  1-17  Star-Free and Accepted Modern Masons, and she held 
  1-18  membership in the Guiding Light Social Club, the Evergreen 
  1-19  Society, the Larksboro Social Club, the Ladies Auxiliary of 
  1-20  Local 1078 International Longshoremen, and the Frazier 
  1-21  Golden Age Center; and 
 
  1-22  WHEREAS, the contributions of this wonderful woman to her 
  1-23  family, church, and community have significantly improved 
  1-24  the quality of life for countless others. 
 
  1-25  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-26  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body express regret 
  1-27  at the passing of Secresta A. Roach and convey their 
  1-28  sincerest sympathy to the members of her family. 
 
  1-29  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-30  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an 
  1-31  appropriate copy of this resolution to the family of 
  1-32  Secresta A. Roach.
