A RESOLUTION
1- 1 Recognizing and commending Jennifer White; and for other
1- 2 purposes.
1- 3 WHEREAS, the National 4-H Conference is designated as the
1- 4 premier assembly of 4-H members from throughout the nation
1- 5 to assist Cooperative Extension Service staff in program
1- 6 planning; and
1- 7 WHEREAS, 4-H members serving as delegates provide specific
1- 8 recommendations for 4-H and Cooperative Extension Service
1- 9 programs at the county, state, and national levels; and
1-10 WHEREAS, delegates make a valuable contribution to the
1-11 development of programs which redirect the path of 4-H to
1-12 meet the needs of youth and our society; and
1-13 WHEREAS, the National 4-H Conference is conducted by the 4-H
1-14 Youth Development Program of the Extension Service of the
1-15 United States Department of Agriculture, the National 4-H
1-16 Council, and the Extension Services of the land grant
1-17 universities; and
1-18 WHEREAS, Jennifer White of Atkinson County served with
1-19 distinction, dedication, and ability as a delegate to the
1-20 1999 National 4-H Conference and is an outstanding
1-21 representative of the 4-H members of Georgia; and
1-22 WHEREAS, Jennifer White is also the recipient of the
1-23 prestigious College of Agriculture and Environmental
1-24 Sciences Dean's Project Award in Agricultural and
1-25 Environmental Sciences.
1-26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF
1-27 REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and
1-28 commend Jennifer White for the outstanding manner in which
1-29 this 4-H member represented the State of Georgia as a
1-30 delegate to the 1999 National 4-H Conference and for her
1-31 selection as recipient of the Dean's Project Award in
1-32 Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
1-33 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of
1-34 Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an
1-35 appropriate copy of this resolution to Jennifer White.
