                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Commending the Tattnall Square Academy boys football team 
  1- 2  and inviting the team and the coaches to appear before the 
  1- 3  House of Representatives; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 4  WHEREAS, Tattnall Square Academy in Macon, Georgia, has a 
  1- 5  proud tradition of excellence in education and a rich 
  1- 6  history of success in interscholastic football; and 
 
  1- 7  WHEREAS, the Tattnall Square Academy boys football team 
  1- 8  achieved a distinction attained by few as it completed the 
  1- 9  1998 season with a perfect 13-0 record; and 
 
  1-10  WHEREAS, on December 4, 1998, these terrific young athletes 
  1-11  won the GISA 2AAA title against Augusta Christian Academy 
  1-12  with a winning score of 49-14; and 
 
  1-13  WHEREAS, the Tattnall Trojans broke ten school records 
  1-14  during the 1998 football season; scored 477 points, giving 
  1-15  up only 167 points; and totaled 4,717 offensive yards 
  1-16  netting 362.8 per game; and 
 
  1-17  WHEREAS, Nathan Smith, Scott Dennard, Skip Davidson, Gabe 
  1-18  Chapman, and Josh Loosier were named All State Players, and 
  1-19  their leadership enabled the 1998 varsity team to 
  1-20  demonstrate its strength throughout the season; and 
 
  1-21  WHEREAS, the outstanding performance of the 1998 Trojans 
  1-22  reflect their superb ability and determination as athletes 
  1-23  and the marvelous training and experience of their dedicated 
  1-24  coaches: Head Coach Barney Hester and Assistant Coaches Jeff 
  1-25  Ratliff, Dwight Danuser, Larry Dudney, John Hankisson, Rhett 
  1-26  Farmer, Joey Hiller, John Martin, Andy Ray, and Scott Webb. 
 
  1-27  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-28  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend the 
  1-29  Tattnall Square Academy boys football team on becoming the 
  1-30  GISA 2AAA State Champions for 1998 and convey to the team 
  1-31  and their coaches their heartiest congratulations. 
 
  1-32  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the team members and the coaches 
  1-33  of the Tattnall Square Academy boys football team are 
  1-34  invited to appear before the House of Representatives at a

  2- 1  date and time to be determined by the Speaker of the House 
  2- 2  of Representatives. 
 
  2- 3  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  2- 4  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an 
  2- 5  appropriate copy of this resolution to Head Coach Barney
