                        A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 
                               AN ACT 
 
 
  1- 1  To amend Code Section 40-2-21 of the Official Code of 
  1- 2  Georgia Annotated, relating to registration periods for 
  1- 3  motor vehicles, so as to change the definition of 
  1- 4  registration period as applied to natural persons in 
  1- 5  counties not having four-month staggered or nonstaggered 
  1- 6  registration; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other 
  1- 7  purposes. 
 
  1- 8       BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: 
 
  1- 9                           SECTION 1. 
 
  1-10  Code Section 40-2-21 of the Official Code of Georgia 
  1-11  Annotated, relating to registration periods for motor 
  1-12  vehicles, is amended by striking subdivision (a)(1)(A)(i) 
  1-13  and inserting in lieu thereof the following: 
 
  1-14    "(i) For natural persons, the 30 day period ending at 
  1-15    midnight on calendar month in which occurs the birthday of 
  1-16    the owner whose surname appears first on the certificate 
  1-17    of title or other record of ownership; or" 
 
  1-18                           SECTION 2. 
 
  1-19  All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
