                        A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 
                               AN ACT 
 
 
  1- 1  To amend Code Section 40-8-111 of the Official Code of 
  1- 2  Georgia Annotated, relating to equipment on school buses, 
  1- 3  generally, so as to provide that school buses shall be 
  1- 4  equipped with passenger seat belts; to repeal conflicting 
  1- 5  laws; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 6       BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: 
 
  1- 7                           SECTION 1. 
 
  1- 8  Code Section 40-8-111 of the Official Code of Georgia 
  1- 9  Annotated, relating to equipment on school buses, generally, 
  1-10  is amended by striking in its entirety paragraph (2) and 
  1-11  inserting in lieu thereof the following: 
 
  1-12      "(2) The driver's seat and each passenger seat shall be 
  1-13      equipped with a seat belt which shall be fastened so as 
  1-14      to secure the driver and each passenger in his or her 
  1-15      seat at all times when children are being transported on 
  1-16      the bus;". 
 
  1-17                           SECTION 2. 
 
  1-18  All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
