                        A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 
                               AN ACT 
 
 
  1- 1  To amend Code Section 47-2-1 of the Official Code of Georgia 
  1- 2  Annotated, relating to definitions relative to the 
  1- 3  Employees' Retirement System of Georgia, so as to define a 
  1- 4  certain term; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other 
  1- 5  purposes. 
 
  1- 6       BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: 
 
  1- 7                           SECTION 1. 
 
  1- 8  Code Section 47-2-1 of the Official Code of Georgia 
  1- 9  Annotated, relating to definitions relative to the 
  1-10  Employees' Retirement System of Georgia, is amended by 
  1-11  inserting at the end thereof the following: 
 
  1-12      "(38) 'Within two years after discharge from the armed 
  1-13      forces' means within two years after the termination of 
  1-14      the member's active service in the military or naval 
  1-15      forces of the United States and shall not include any 
  1-16      military reserve or naval reserve service." 
 
  1-17                           SECTION 2. 
 
  1-18  All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
