                        A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 
                               AN ACT 
 
 
  1- 1  To amend an Act creating a new charter for the City of Union 
  1- 2  Point, approved March 16, 1978 (Ga. L. 1978, p. 3966), as 
  1- 3  amended, particularly by an Act approved March 16, 1983 (Ga. 
  1- 4  L. 1983, p. 4061) and an Act approved March 28, 1998 (Ga. L. 
  1- 5  1998, p. 3752), so as to change the corporate limits of said 
  1- 6  city; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 7       BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: 
 
  1- 8                           SECTION 1. 
 
  1- 9  An Act creating a new charter for the City of Union Point, 
  1-10  approved March 16, 1978 (Ga. L. 1978, p. 3966), as amended, 
  1-11  particularly by an Act approved March 16, 1983 (Ga. L. 1983, 
  1-12  p. 4061) and an Act approved March 28, 1998 (Ga. L. 1998, p. 
  1-13  3752), is amended by adding at the end of Section 1.11 a new 
  1-14  subsection to read as follows: 
 
  1-15    "(d) In addition to the area now embraced within the 
  1-16    corporate limits of the City of Union Point, the following 
  1-17    described property shall be included within said corporate 
  1-18    limits: 
 
  1-19      All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the 
  1-20      140th District, G.M. of Greene County, Georgia, and 
  1-21      being a section of the right-of-way of Georgia Hwy. No. 
  1-22      77 between mile post 6.75 and mile post 7.00 as shown on 
  1-23      a plat of survey for the City of Union Point, Georgia, 
  1-24      by Gerald W. Torbert, Registered Land Surveyor #1717, 
  1-25      which plat is recorded in Plat Cabinet 1, Slide 434, 
  1-26      Page 2, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court 
  1-27      of Greene County, Georgia, which said plat and the 
  1-28      record thereof are hereby incorporated herein and made a 
  1-29      part hereof by reference." 
 
  1-30                           SECTION 2. 
 
  1-31  All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are 
  1-32  repealed.
