                        A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 
                               AN ACT 
 
 
  1- 1  To amend an Act creating a Board of Commissioners of 
  1- 2  Dougherty County, approved March 4, 1941 (Ga. L. 1941, p. 
  1- 3  834), as amended, particularly by an Act approved March 28, 
  1- 4  1990 (Ga. L. 1990, p. 4621), so as to change the 
  1- 5  compensation of the chairperson and members of the board; to 
  1- 6  provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and 
  1- 7  for other purposes. 
 
  1- 8       BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA: 
 
  1- 9                           SECTION 1. 
 
  1-10  An Act creating a Board of Commissioners of Dougherty 
  1-11  County, approved March 4, 1941 (Ga. L. 1941, p. 834), as 
  1-12  amended, particularly by an Act approved March 28, 1990 (Ga. 
  1-13  L. 1990, p. 4621), is amended by striking in its entirety 
  1-14  Section 7 and inserting in lieu thereof a new Section 7 to 
  1-15  read as follows: 
 
 
 
  1-16    Be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, that the 
  1-17    salary of the chairperson of the board shall be $10,800.00 
  1-18    per annum and the salaries of the remaining members of the 
  1-19    board shall be $9,600.00 per annum.  Said salary shall be 
  1-20    paid in equal monthly installments out of the treasury of 
  1-21    Dougherty County." 
 
  1-22                           SECTION 2. 
 
  1-23  This Act shall become effective on July 1, 1999. 
 
  1-24                           SECTION 3. 
 
  1-25  All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are
