                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Commending the Coffee County High School Key Club; and for 
  1- 2  other purposes. 
 
  1- 3  WHEREAS, the Coffee County High School Key Club is a member 
  1- 4  of Key Club International, the largest high school service 
  1- 5  club in the world; and 
 
  1- 6  WHEREAS, the Coffee County High School Key Club annually 
  1- 7  performs over 8,000 service hours in support of the works of 
  1- 8  the Special Olympics, American Cancer Society, March of 
  1- 9  Dimes, Habitat for Humanity, Heart Fund, Salvation Army, and 
  1-10  many other service organizations; and 
 
  1-11  WHEREAS, the club has received numerous awards throughout 
  1-12  its long and distinguished history, including best club in 
  1-13  the state (ten of the last 11 years), most outstanding 
  1-14  service project, most community service hours, largest 
  1-15  contributor to Habitat for Humanity, and largest contributor 
  1-16  to the Georgia Sheriffs' Youth Homes; and 
 
  1-17  WHEREAS, numerous members of this club have served the 
  1-18  organization with distinction as officers at the state and 
  1-19  international levels; and 
 
  1-20  WHEREAS, at the recent international convention in Chicago, 
  1-21  Illinois, the Coffee County High School Key Club was named 
  1-22  the number one club ("best of the best") of 6400 such clubs 
  1-23  in 21 countries worldwide; and 
 
  1-24  WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper that this outstanding 
  1-25  organization be honored by this body. 
 
  1-26  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-27  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize the 
  1-28  Coffee County High School Key Club  for its many 
  1-29  accomplishments and contributions to the welfare of this 
  1-30  state. 
 
  1-31  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-32  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an 
  1-33  appropriate copy of this resolution to the Coffee County 
  1-34  High School Key Club.
