                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1   Recognizing and commending Will Tate; and for other 
  1- 2  purposes. 
 
  1- 3  WHEREAS, 4-H Clubs of Georgia provide a unique educational 
  1- 4  opportunity for students from nine to 19 years of age to 
  1- 5  learn valuable lessons outside the classroom and offer some 
  1- 6  55 project areas in which students can develop expertise and 
  1- 7  compete with one another; and 
 
  1- 8  WHEREAS, Georgia's 4-H programs are coordinated by the 
  1- 9  Cooperative Extension Service of the University of Georgia 
  1-10  College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, and this 
  1-11  service is the major university outreach program focusing on 
  1-12  the youth of this state; and 
 
  1-13  WHEREAS, Will Tate of Pickens County is an outstanding 
  1-14  member of 4-H and is the recipient of the prestigious 
  1-15  College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Dean's 
  1-16  Project Award in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; 
  1-17  and 
 
  1-18  WHEREAS, Will Tate is an outstanding representative of the 
  1-19  dynamic resource this state has in its young people. 
 
  1-20  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-21  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and 
  1-22  commend Will Tate as the recipient of the prestigious 
  1-23  College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Dean's 
  1-24  Project Award in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and 
  1-25  for this outstanding 4-H member's dedication to the 
  1-26  principles of 4-H programs. 
 
  1-27  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-28  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an
