                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Commending Mr. Pete Meadows; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 2  WHEREAS, Mr. Pete Meadows, head coach of the Augusta 
  1- 3  Christian School baseball team, has had an outstanding 
  1- 4  record of success; and 
 
  1- 5  WHEREAS, under his leadership, the team won state 
  1- 6  championships for 1996 and 1999, won regional championships 
  1- 7  in several years including 1996, 1997, and 1998, and over 
  1- 8  the last six seasons compiled a phenomenal record of 152 
  1- 9  wins and only 29 losses; and 
 
  1-10  WHEREAS, he is the only coach in GISA history to lead a team 
  1-11  to 30 wins in a single season, is the only AAA or AA coach 
  1-12  in GISA history to win more than 20 games in six successive 
  1-13  seasons, and has been honored with numerous coaching awards 
  1-14  including being named State Coach of the Year in 1996 and 
  1-15  1999; and 
 
  1-16  WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper that he be recognized 
  1-17  by this body. 
 
  1-18  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-19  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Mr. 
  1-20  Pete Meadows for his outstanding achievements and wish him 
  1-21  continued success. 
 
  1-22  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-23  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an
