1- 1 Commending the Berkmar High School basketball team; and for
  1- 2 other purposes.

1- 3 WHEREAS, the Berkmar High School basketball team has
1- 4 established and maintained a proud tradition of excellence
1- 5 in boys' basketball with equal emphasis on character and

1-10 WHEREAS, they marched through the state tournament posting
1-11 dramatic wins over their opponents and captured the 8-AAAA
1-12 Regional Basketball Championship and, although they finished
1-13 their season as Class AAAA Runner-up, they became the first

1-16 WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team as it took
1-17 care of business is a clear indication of the outstanding
1-18 athletic ability, the dedication and hard work, and the
1-19 unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the team,
1-20 their superb offensive and defensive talents, and the astute

1-22 WHEREAS, this magnificent team performed with precision
1-23 during the season, especially Tony Akins who was named Mr.
1-24 Georgia Basketball, and earned its well-deserved reputation
1-25 for high standards of athletic achievement, the quality of
1-26 its play, and the stiff competition which it presented its
  1-27 opponents.

1-28 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF
1-29 REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend the
