                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Commending Roger Truman Lane; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 2  WHEREAS, Roger Truman Lane is a resident of Gainesville with 
  1- 3  a distinguished record of achievement in business, 
  1- 4  professional, and civic affairs; and 
 
  1- 5  WHEREAS, he currently serves as president of the Georgia 
  1- 6  Oilmen's Association; and 
 
  1- 7  WHEREAS, his record of public service includes having served 
  1- 8  as a councilman for the City of Snellville, member of the 
  1- 9  State Board of Chiropractic Medicine, and member of the 
  1-10  State Board of Pharmacy, and he has been honored as a 
  1-11  Lieutenant Colonel on the staff of Georgia Governors George 
  1-12  Busbee, Joe Frank Harris, and Zell Miller; and 
 
  1-13  WHEREAS, he has served with distinction in numerous 
  1-14  leadership positions for the Georgia Association of Home 
  1-15  Health Care, Georgia Pharmaceutical Association, Inc., 
  1-16  National Association of State Pharmaceutical Association 
  1-17  Executives, and North Central Georgia Health Systems Agency, 
  1-18  among others; and 
 
  1-19  WHEREAS, his many honors include the Award of Merit and 
  1-20  President's Award from the Georgia Pharmaceutical 
  1-21  Association; and 
 
  1-22  WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper that he be honored by 
  1-23  this body. 
 
  1-24  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-25  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Roger 
  1-26  Truman Lane for his many accomplishments and his 
  1-27  contributions to the welfare of this state. 
 
  1-28  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-29  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an
