                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Commending Stuart Haslup; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 2  WHEREAS, Stuart Haslup of Troop 506 has earned the rank of 
  1- 3  Eagle Scout, the most distinguished rank conferred by the 
  1- 4  Boy Scouts of America; and 
 
  1- 5  WHEREAS, a candidate for the most exceptional award in 
  1- 6  scouting must complete a rigorous program of training and 
  1- 7  demonstrate his proficiency in selected scouting techniques 
  1- 8  and attainment of the highest ideals of scouting; and 
 
  1- 9  WHEREAS, only one scout out of 97 ever reaches this lofty 
  1-10  level of achievement, and Stuart Haslup has ably 
  1-11  demonstrated his aptitude and competency in mastering the 
  1-12  various special skills taught through the Boy Scout program; 
  1-13  and 
 
  1-14  WHEREAS, a resident of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Stuart Haslup 
  1-15  has truly exhibited a commitment to the scouting principles 
  1-16  of honesty and fairness and has consistently conducted 
  1-17  himself in a manner becoming an Eagle Scout; and 
 
  1-18  WHEREAS, in a world which consistently seems to accentuate 
  1-19  the negative aspects of the actions of young people, it is 
  1-20  abundantly fitting and proper for this body to recognize 
  1-21  with particularity the outstanding accomplishments of this 
  1-22  extraordinary individual. 
 
  1-23  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-24  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Stuart 
  1-25  Haslup for his diligence and dedication in pursuing the 
  1-26  highest honor awarded by the Boy Scouts of America and 
  1-27  congratulate him on attaining the prestigious rank of Eagle 
  1-28  Scout. 
 
  1-29  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-30  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an
