                             A RESOLUTION 
 
  1- 1  Commending Dallas Arthur Crowne; and for other purposes. 
 
  1- 2  WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of 
  1- 3  this state is the single most important objective of the 
  1- 4  General Assembly; and 
 
  1- 5  WHEREAS, Dallas Arthur Crowne of Butts County has shown by 
  1- 6  the example of his academic accomplishments that this lofty 
  1- 7  objective is within the reach of the students in this state; 
  1- 8  and 
 
  1- 9  WHEREAS, this remarkable Jackson High School senior scholar 
  1-10  earned distinction through his recent recognition as the 
  1-11  1999 Butts County STAR student; and 
 
  1-12  WHEREAS, this prestigious selection provides a unique 
  1-13  opportunity to honor students who aspire to reach their 
  1-14  fullest intellectual potential; and 
 
  1-15  WHEREAS, by his selection as STAR student, he has 
  1-16  personified the selfless dedication, caring commitment, and 
  1-17  personal maturity necessary for the attainment of academic 
  1-18  excellence; and 
 
  1-19  WHEREAS, in a world which seems to accentuate consistently 
  1-20  the negative aspects of teen-agers, it is abundantly fitting 
  1-21  and proper for this body to honor the extraordinary 
  1-22  accomplishments and courage of such an outstanding 
  1-23  individual. 
 
  1-24  NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF 
  1-25  REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend 
  1-26  heartily Dallas Arthur Crowne for his spectacular scholastic 
  1-27  endeavors, congratulate him upon being named 1999 Butts 
  1-28  County STAR student, and express to him their sincerest best 
  1-29  wishes for continued success in the future. 
 
  1-30  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of 
  1-31  Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an
