A RESOLUTION
1- 1 Congratulating James Robert Deveneau Morrow of St. Marys,
1- 2 Georgia, and inviting him to appear before the House of
1- 3 Representatives; and for other purposes.
1- 4 WHEREAS, James Robert Deveneau Morrow has embarked on a
1- 5 distinguished career in drama in his first 16 years; and
1- 6 WHEREAS, sometimes achievements in the fine arts are less
1- 7 celebrated than athletic achievements; and
1- 8 WHEREAS, creative artists have illuminated our understanding
1- 9 of what it is to be human, shown us our fears, and led us to
1-10 laugh and hope for the future; and
1-11 WHEREAS, he has appeared in a wide range of roles in
1-12 productions of The Importance of Being Earnest, The
1-13 Crucible, Li'L Abner, and Macbeth at Camden County High
1-14 School; and
1-15 WHEREAS, his performances in Camden Area Players productions
1-16 of The Perfect Idiot and Ten Little Indians were met with
1-17 critical acclaim; and
1-18 WHEREAS, he has polished his technical expertise by serving
1-19 as technical director for Golliwhoppers at Camden County
1-20 High School; and
1-21 WHEREAS, his abilities and achievements have been recognized
1-22 by his receiving the Camden Area Players Best Youth Actor
1-23 Award; the All Star Cast Award in the Region 3AAAA One Act
1-24 Play Competition; and the Best Actor Award from the Georgia
1-25 Theatre Conference.
1-26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF
1-27 REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend James
1-28 Robert Deveneau Morrow for his exceptional dramatic
1-29 talents, congratulate him for his Best Actor Award, and
1-30 invite him to appear before the House of Representatives at
1-31 a time and date to be determined by the Speaker of the House
1-32 of Representatives.
1-33 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of
1-34 Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an
